Notificationలో Sportsperson selection కోసం DoPT prescribed Order of Preferenceను పేర్కొన్నారు. Sports achievement ఆధారంగా candidatesను preference orderలో పరిగణిస్తారు.

First Preference

Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports clearanceతో International Competitionలో India తరఫున represent చేసిన candidatesకి మొదటి preference ఉంటుంది.

Second Preference

Recognized National Sports Federations నిర్వహించిన Senior లేదా Junior National Championshipsలో State/UT తరఫున represent చేసి medal లేదా 3rd place వరకు position సాధించిన candidatesకు రెండో preference ఉంటుంది.

Fifth Preference

All-India School Games Federation నిర్వహించిన National Sports/Games for Schoolsలో State School తరఫున represent చేసి medal లేదా 3rd place వరకు position సాధించిన candidatesకు ఐదో preference ఉంటుంది.

Sixth Preference

పైన పేర్కొన్న B నుంచి E categoriesలో చెప్పిన levelలో State/UT, University లేదా State Schools Teams తరఫున represent చేసినా medal లేదా position సాధించని candidatesను కూడా prescribed order ప్రకారం పరిగణిస్తారు.

Tie వచ్చినప్పుడు higher position సాధించిన లేదా ఎక్కువ medals సాధించిన candidateకి preference ఇవ్వవచ్చని Notificationలో ఉంది. Individual event మరియు team event participationకి same preference ఇవ్వవచ్చు.
